Talk about travelling in style.. Introducing the Sydney
36C...

Light but strong,
easily managed but seriously fast, traditionally seaworthy but technologically advanced,
our Sydney 36 may be the pup of the Bashford International range but its big-hearted
interior and brazen personality belie its size.
Whether on the
Pacific Ocean or in the calms of the Sea of Cortez, the Sydney 36 reflects yachting-legend
Iain Murray's design nous to both honour the yacht-racer's most ardent requirements and to
indulge the cruising-sailor's most far-flung whims.

For performance, a beautifully
proportioned, kevlar-sandwich hull is graced with high-tech fin keel and bulb derived from
Murray's vast America's Cup experience. For even greater speed, you can add an optional
carbon spar, although the 36 doesn't need it it's stiff, alloy masthead rig carries a
large mainsail and manageable headsail that harness ever puff which nature provides.

Up top, an ergonomically-designed
deck has been carefully conceived for maximum crew comfort and safety at all times, in all
weather, in all company. Similar, the cockpit and helm harmonise like a well-orchestrated
choir, singing the praises of clear forward vision and the security that comes from deep
sides.
Concealed within the sleek,
slippery hull is a truly voluminous interior. Here, world-class wooden joinery meets
modern, radiused mouldings for a finish you can be proud of. Under overhead 12-volt
halogen lighting, the ambience is warm and welcoming.
Accommodation begins with generous
double berth in the bow, graced with personal hanging lockers. A wide, convivial saloon
located amidships has twin settees, a stable fold-down dinette and a practical L-shaped
galley nearby that comes complete with arms-length bench tops for super-efficient meal
preparation.
Close at hand. the navigator has a
purpose-built office which is planned to accept a full spread of the latest electronics,
where they can be easily monitored and the navigator can easily relay their information
back up top.
Back aft,
twin over-sized double berths allow for pipe-cots to be fitted, even though the Sydney 36
is inherently stable and intuitively comfortable.
A proven performer throughout the
world, under any and all handicap systems, the Sydney 36 was built to cross oceans, tame
high seas and race like a demon on the strength of the wind alone.
It's as comfortable with these
commands as it is catering for a full family or crew, making the most of their new-found
paradise down below. All things to all people - that's the Sydney 36.
